Obituary:
Betty J. Vener was born on May 11, 1921 in Latrobe, PA to Fred and Goldie (Banner) Jackman. She passed away on February 18, 2015 at the age of 93. She and her husband James Vener moved to the Exeter area in 1966. The couple owned and operated Verner’s Sporting Good and Fruit Stand for 42 years. Betty loved hosting BBQ’s for her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her son, Joe Schmitt of Exeter; her daughter Jamie Vener of Medford OR; her sisters Shirley Craig of Green Valley, AZ, Sally Johnston of China Springs, TX and Janet Planinsec of Youngstown, PA. She is also survived by one grandson Zachary Schmitt of Visalia.

Joe, Jamie and Zachary, you have our deepest sympathy. Aunt Betty was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. She was so much fun to be around and spend time with.
